The United States will be looking to repeat recent history when it goes into Saturday’s FIVB World League match against Brazil at the Reynolds Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Two weekends ago, the U.S. came back from a 3-1 (19-25, 25-21, 25-19, 25-21) loss to Brazil on June 11 in Belo Horizonte and defeated the South Americans 3-1 (25-21, 25-22, 16-25, 26-24) on the second night.

The United States, ranked fifth in the world by the FIVB, will be looking for another upset of No. 1 Brazil, which defeated the Americans 3-1 (25-21, 25-20, 21-25, 25-19) on Friday.

“We have a quick turnaround,” U.S. coach Alan Knipe said. “We’ll see what we can adjust on our side and do what we can tomorrow.”

Brazil is well aware that the U.S. has posted second-night victories after losses in three of its first four World League weekends.
