SUMMARY
The resurgent West Coast has lost just one game in five, while Port Adelaide has won only two matches for the season. That tells you all you need to know about where these two sides sit ahead of what threatens to be a one-sided clash at Patersons Stadium.

The Eagles are full of confidence after a 39-point win over Adelaide in round 12, notching two wins from two trips to AAMI Stadium this year (they beat Port by 18 points in round two).

Their improvement has come from all parts. The senior players - highlighted by Daniel Kerr and Dean Cox's vintage stoppage work against Adelaide - are fit and firing, the youngsters are contributing, and the middle-tier is playing remarkably consistent football (Matt Rosa and Shannon Hurn have been standouts among this group).

When you throw in the well-documented improvements in game style it's hard to find weaknesses at West Coast right now - perhaps an under-sized backline that has relied on Ash Smith playing tall, but that should be overcome by Eric Mackenzie's return.

Port Adelaide emerges from its bye with some good news after captain Dom Cassisi and midfielder David Rodan resumed from injury in the SANFL last weekend.

Cassisi is expected to play, with Rodan less certain. Ruckman Daniel Stewart could be recalled to support Dean Brogan against Cox and Nic Naitanui.
